The Aguadilla Airport UFO

On April 25, 2013, a US Customs and Border Protection DHC-8 aircraft captured thermal video of an unidentified object near Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The footage shows an object displaying extraordinary flight characteristics, including splitting into two parts and entering the ocean.

The Sighting

At approximately 9:20 PM, a DHC-8 aircraft was preparing to land when the crew observed an unusual object. They activated their thermal imaging system and tracked the object for approximately 3 minutes.

The Video

The thermal footage shows a heat-signature object traveling at high speed while maintaining low altitude. The object flew over land, then ocean, appearing to enter and exit the water before splitting into two separate parts.

Flight Characteristics

Analysis revealed remarkable behavior including estimated speeds of 40-120 mph with no visible propulsion system. The object demonstrated the ability to travel over land and through water, apparently splitting into two objects with no loss of speed when entering water.

SCU Analysis

The Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU) conducted extensive analysis through frame-by-frame video examination, speed and trajectory calculations, and environmental factor assessments. They concluded the object displayed unknown technology.

The Split

Perhaps most unusual was when the single object separated into two parts. Both parts continued independent flight and both entered the ocean, with neither showing signs of impact.

Official Response

US Customs and Border Protection acknowledged the video was authentic but provided no explanation for the object. The crew filed official reports, but no further public statements were made.

Ocean Entry

The object’s water interaction was notable. It entered the ocean without splash or deceleration, appeared to continue underwater, and may have emerged again (though this is unclear). No known aircraft can perform such maneuvers.

Scientific Interest

The case attracted serious analysis from multiple independent researchers who examined the footage. Scientific papers were published, the case was presented at conferences, and it’s considered among the best recent UFO videos.

Location Significance

Aguadilla and Puerto Rico are historically associated with UFO activity. The military presence in the area, combined with the Caribbean having numerous UFO reports and underwater UFO (USO) reports being common, makes this location particularly significant.

Significance

The Aguadilla case is significant for providing official government thermal video, documenting transmedium capability, showing object splitting behavior, receiving scientific analysis supporting the anomaly, and having crew testimony.

Legacy

The Aguadilla footage represents some of the best evidence for transmedium UFOs—objects that can operate in air and water. The official source of the video and subsequent scientific analysis have made this a cornerstone case for serious UFO research.
