Aguadilla Puerto Rico UFO Video

On April 25, 2013, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection aircraft captured infrared video of a small object traveling at high speed over Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The object appeared to split into two, enter the ocean, emerge, and continue flying. Analysis suggests genuine transmedium capability - operating in air and water.

Aguadilla, Puerto Rico
4+ witnesses

The Aguadilla video represents some of the best government-captured UAP footage available. A U.S. Customs and Border Protection aircraft filmed a small, fast-moving object that appeared to transition between air and water - transmedium capability that no known technology possesses. The video has been extensively analyzed and remains unexplained.

The Incident - April 25, 2013

At approximately 9:20 PM, a DHC-8 Turboprop aircraft operated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) was preparing to land at Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, when the crew noticed an unusual light approaching from the north:

The Detection: The object appeared as a pinkish-red light moving against the wind.

Tracking: The aircraft crew tracked the object using their thermal imaging camera system.

The Recording: Approximately three minutes of infrared footage was captured.

The Object’s Behavior: What the camera recorded defied conventional explanation.

What the Video Shows

The Aguadilla footage captures remarkable object behavior:

Speed: The object traveled at speeds estimated between 80-120 mph - unusual for something of its apparent small size (approximately 3-5 feet).

No Visible Propulsion: No heat signature from engines, no propellers, no conventional propulsion visible on thermal imaging.

Water Entry: The object appears to enter the ocean without slowing down or producing the splash expected from an object hitting water at speed.

Underwater Travel: The object seemingly travels underwater and then re-emerges, continuing flight.

Splitting: At one point, the object appears to divide into two separate objects.

The Analysis

The video has been subjected to extensive analysis:

Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU): A detailed 162-page report analyzed the footage frame by frame, calculating speeds, trajectories, and attempting to identify the object.

Flight Characteristics: The object demonstrated capabilities inconsistent with any known aircraft, drone, bird, or balloon:

  • Sustained low-altitude flight at consistent speed
  • Apparent water entry and exit
  • No propulsion signature on thermal imaging

Object Identification Attempts: The SCU report ruled out:

  • Birds (wrong heat signature, too fast, can’t go underwater)
  • Balloons (too fast, against wind, can’t go underwater)
  • Drones (no known drone can enter water and continue flying)
  • Chinese lanterns (too fast, can’t go underwater)
  • Aircraft (too small, no propulsion signature)

Transmedium Capability

The Aguadilla video’s most remarkable feature is the apparent transmedium capability:

Air to Water: The object enters the ocean at speed.

Underwater Transit: It appears to travel beneath the surface.

Water to Air: It emerges and continues flying.

No known human technology can operate seamlessly in both air and water. Aircraft can’t enter water at speed without being destroyed. Submarines can’t fly. Yet this object appeared to do both.

The Aircraft Crew

The witnesses were experienced law enforcement personnel:

CBP Flight Crew: Trained observers operating sophisticated surveillance equipment.

No Identification: Despite being tasked with identifying aircraft and vessels in the region, they could not identify the object.

Professional Recording: The footage was captured using standard law enforcement thermal imaging equipment.

Additional Observations

The video captures other notable details:

The Split: Near the end of the footage, the single object appears to become two objects. Whether this represents actual splitting or an optical effect is debated.

Ocean Interaction: When the object enters the water, there’s minimal splash - inconsistent with an object of that speed hitting water.

Consistent Altitude: The object maintains remarkably consistent low-altitude flight, something difficult for known small aircraft or drones.

Government Response

The footage was obtained through Freedom of Information requests:

Initial Silence: The government did not publicize the video.

FOIA Release: The footage was obtained through official channels and is confirmed authentic government footage.

No Official Explanation: The CBP has never officially explained what their aircraft captured that night.

Puerto Rico as a UFO Hotspot

Puerto Rico has a long history of UFO reports:

Geographic Location: The island’s position may make it significant for reasons unknown.

El Yunque: The rainforest and surrounding areas have been frequent sites of reports.

USO Reports: Unidentified submersible objects have been reported in Caribbean waters for decades.

The Aguadilla video adds documented evidence to Puerto Rico’s UFO history.

Comparison to Other Cases

The Aguadilla footage shares characteristics with other significant cases:

Nimitz Tic Tac: Both involve objects appearing to operate in multiple mediums.

Roosevelt Encounters: Both involve military/government footage of unexplained objects.

Transmedium Pattern: Multiple credible reports describe objects moving between air and water.

Skeptical Responses

Critics have proposed alternatives:

Balloon in Wind: The object might be a balloon carried by wind that appears to enter water due to perspective. However, analysis shows the object moving against prevailing winds.

Bird with Fish: A pelican carrying a bioluminescent fish could create a heat signature. However, this doesn’t explain the speeds, water entry, or subsequent emergence.

Camera Artifact: Video artifacts might create the appearance of unusual motion. Extensive analysis has found no evidence supporting this.

None of these explanations adequately address all observed characteristics.

Legacy

The Aguadilla video is significant because:

  • It’s authentic government footage from a reliable source
  • The object displays characteristics beyond known technology
  • Extensive scientific analysis has been conducted
  • It demonstrates apparent transmedium capability
  • It remains officially unexplained

Whatever CBP’s aircraft captured over Puerto Rico in 2013, it operated in ways that no known technology can replicate.
