On May 19th each year, Anne Boleyn arrives in a phantom coach, holding her severed head in her lap. Her father Sir Thomas, who helped condemn her, is also damned.

Blickling Hall
This Jacobean mansion was built on the site of Anne Boleyn’s childhood home. Every year on the anniversary of her execution, she returns.
Anne Boleyn’s Return
On May 19th (the date of her beheading in 1536):
- A phantom coach arrives at the hall
- Pulled by headless horses
- Driven by a headless coachman
- Inside sits Anne Boleyn
- She holds her severed head in her lap
- The coach circles the hall, then vanishes
Throughout the year:
- Anne is seen inside the hall
- Wearing her signature “B” necklace
- Walking through corridors
- Appearing melancholy and alone
Sir Thomas Boleyn
Anne’s father, who conspired in her downfall to save himself:
- He is condemned to drive a phantom coach
- Across twelve bridges each year
- Pursued by demons
- His coach is drawn by headless horses
- He carries his own head under his arm
