The Beast of Bray Road
A werewolf-like creature has been reported along a Wisconsin rural road for decades, walking upright and displaying unusual intelligence.
The Beast of Bray Road
The Beast of Bray Road is a werewolf-like creature reported from rural Wisconsin since at least 1936. Described as a large, hairy biped with wolf-like features, the creature is typically seen along Bray Road near Elkhorn.
Description
Witnesses describe a creature standing six to seven feet tall, covered in coarse brown or grey fur with a wolf-like head. Most notably, it walks upright like a human, though some have seen it on all fours. The eyes glow yellow or amber.
The 1989-1992 Flap
Reports escalated between 1989 and 1992. Multiple witnesses reported seeing the creature along Bray Road, sometimes eating roadkill or chasing vehicles. Local journalist Linda Godfrey investigated and wrote books about the phenomenon.
Unlike most cryptids, the Beast has been reported approaching vehicles and people, displaying apparent intelligence and curiosity.
The Beast of Bray Road represents one of America’s most active werewolf-type cryptid cases.
