The Dover Demon
On April 21 and 22, 1977, three separate groups of teenagers in Dover, Massachusetts, independently reported seeing a bizarre creature with a large, watermelon-shaped head and glowing orange eyes.
The Sightings
Bill Bartlett first saw it illuminated by headlights: a creature about four feet tall with a large oval head, glowing orange eyes, and long thin limbs. Hours later, John Baxter encountered the same creature. The following night, Will Taintor and Abby Brabham saw it while driving.
Investigation
The witnesses were interviewed separately and found credible with consistent accounts. Proposed explanations include an alien, a deformed animal, or a hoax. The Dover Demon appeared for forty-eight hours and vanished forever.
