Northeast Drone/UAP Mystery

Beginning in late 2024 and continuing into 2025, mysterious drone-like UAPs appeared nightly over New Jersey, New York, and surrounding states. The objects hovered near critical infrastructure, military bases, and residential areas. Despite federal involvement, their origin remains unexplained.

In the final weeks of 2024, a mystery descended on the northeastern United States that would continue well into 2025 - swarms of unidentified aerial objects appearing nightly over New Jersey, New York, and surrounding areas, defying explanation despite intensive investigation.

The Sightings Begin

Reports emerged in mid-November 2024, initially concentrated in rural Morris County, New Jersey. Residents described large drone-like objects, often with multiple lights, hovering silently or moving slowly across the night sky. Unlike conventional drones, these objects appeared significantly larger and operated for hours at a time.

Within weeks, the sightings spread across northern New Jersey, into New York State, and along the eastern seaboard. The objects seemed particularly interested in critical infrastructure - power plants, water treatment facilities, and military installations.

Official Confusion

The response from authorities was contradictory. The FBI acknowledged investigating. The FAA implemented flight restrictions. Governor Phil Murphy called for federal action. Yet officials insisted there was no threat and no indication the objects were foreign. No arrests were made, no drones recovered, and no explanation emerged.

Langley Connection

The incidents connected to earlier unexplained drone swarms over Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. Air Force veteran Dylan Borland testified before Congress in September 2025 that he witnessed a triangular aircraft hover above him at Langley - leading to reprisal when he reported it.

The pattern of UAP incursions near sensitive military installations has become a major concern, leading to FY2026 NDAA provisions requiring Pentagon briefings on such incidents.
