The Hessdalen Lights
Unexplained lights appear regularly in a Norwegian valley, the subject of ongoing scientific investigation.
The Hessdalen Lights
Since 1981, unexplained lights have appeared in Hessdalen Valley, Norway. Unlike most paranormal phenomena, these lights are scientifically documented and continue to be studied.
The lights appear as bright, sometimes pulsating phenomena that hover, move erratically, and disappear. During peak activity in the 1980s, lights were reported twenty times per week.
Scientists have measured temperatures exceeding 15,000°C, unusual spectral characteristics, and magnetic anomalies. Proposed explanations include plasma phenomena and piezoelectric effects from the valley’s unusual geology.
The Hessdalen lights represent a rare phenomenon that is both unexplained and scientifically documented.
