The Green Lady

The most famous ghost is a servant who saved Mary Queen of Scots:

  • The origin of her death is unknown
  • She now walks the castle as a guardian

The Highland Ghost

A soldier in full Highland dress:

  • Seen on the battlements
  • Wearing kilt and tartan
  • Sometimes described as incomplete (half a body visible)
  • Disappears when approached

The Pink Lady

A beautiful woman searching for something lost:

  • Seen walking from the castle toward the church
  • Dressed in pink
  • Her identity and story remain unknown
  • Appears mainly at dusk
