The Socorro UFO Landing

On April 24, 1964, Socorro Police Officer Lonnie Zamora witnessed a UFO land in the desert along with two small beings near the craft. The case was extensively investigated by the Air Force and remains unexplained.

While pursuing a speeder, Zamora heard a roar and saw a flame descending. He found an oval, egg-shaped white object on the ground with two figures in white coveralls nearby. When he approached, they entered the craft, which rose with a roar and flew away.

The landing site showed four rectangular depressions and burned vegetation. Project Blue Book investigator J. Allen Hynek found Zamora credible and the evidence compelling.

The Socorro case remains one of the most convincing UFO cases in Air Force files.
