HISTORICAL UAP FILE RELEASE

On May 8, 2026, the U.S. Department of War published the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) — 161 declassified documents drawn from FBI vault holdings, U.S. Army Air Forces incident files, and historical UAP records spanning 1947 through the present.

A second tranche followed on May 22, 2026, adding sensor videos, NASA mission-audio excerpts, and CIA, ODNI, and Department of Energy files; a third on June 12, 2026 brought the FBI's modern case files — including the Colorado Springs 2022 incident and a five-witness Western US event from 2023 — plus eighteen CIA historical documents and the NASA Gemini debriefings. A fourth on July 10, 2026 reached back to the beginning: the Project Sign progress report of 1948, the Air Force's own committee review of Project Blue Book, the 1949 Los Alamos conference at which Manhattan Project physicists argued over the green fireballs, and — at the other end of the record — three Navy Range Fouler debriefs released alongside the sensor videos they describe. A fifth on August 7, 2026 widened the archive beyond the military and the Bureau, adding the first Department of State and Executive Office of the President files — two diplomatic cables and a National Aeronautics and Space Council inquiry tracking the reported fall of a metal sphere at Conde, in Bahia, Brazil, in November 1963 — together with the U.S. Navy's 1953 frame-by-frame analysis of the Montana and Utah films, a 1947 review of the Scandinavian "ghost rockets", and seventeen FBI interview records paired with renderings drawn from them. A sixth on September 18, 2026 published the paperwork of the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program, the Defense Intelligence Agency's 2008 Bigelow contract, with 37 of its reference papers; the Air Force's Project Blue Book file on the 1952 Tremonton film; and the first records from local police. A seventh on October 23, 2026 added 28 documents and no video: nine Bigelow contractor reports for the same program, including its field report on a Utah ranch; fourteen sighting files from 1949 to 1957, four of them from Catalina Island; an AARO memorandum and an FBI interview form on a 2026 triangle; and the 1954 service record of the officer who ran Air Materiel Command intelligence. Combined with the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) public document set, the corpus is the largest body of declassified U.S. government UFO material ever released.
